To conform with the new batteries directive if your product incorporates a battery, or can be fitted with a battery, you must provide the user with instructions on how to safely remove the battery (typcially in the user manual or documentation supplied with a product).
Your user manual should contain a statement confirming the products compliance with the CE regulations if it is to be sold within the European union. The following is a general sample text which can be included:-
