CE Complaince Statement

Your user manual should contain a statement confirming the products compliance with the CE regulations if it is to be sold within the European union.  The following is a general sample text which can be included:-

EU – Declaration of Conformity
[Manufacturer Name] declares that [Product Name & Product Number] complies with the essential requirements and other relevant provisions of Directive 1999/5/EC. A copy of the Declaration of conformity is available on request.
[Manufacturer Name]
[Manufacturer Address]

Note that manufacturer in the CE compliance sense refers to the company the product is branded under, not the company that you may sub contract to carry out the actual manufacture for you.

USEFUL?
We decided to help other designers and engineers by opening up many of our companies internal notes and libraries through mini sites like this. We benefit hugely from resources on the web and feel we should give back some of our knowledge and resources to the community. If you find this site helpful all we ask in return is that you consider adding a link back to any page on this site somewhere on the web. Link ins massively help towards this site appearing in search engine results, allowing other engineers to find it more quickly and of course giving us a bit of that sweet Google juice! Thanks.
